Overview
Muqarnas needed a home for long-form architectural writing that felt as considered as the work it documented. The brief was deceptively simple: make reading pleasant, make publishing painless.
The challenge
The existing site was a template with a bolted-on blog. Editors fought the CMS for every layout, images were unoptimised, and the first contentful paint on mobile sat above four seconds.
What we did
We designed a small set of composable editorial blocks, then built a Next.js front-end against a structured content model. Images are processed at build time, pages are statically rendered, and editors compose layouts without touching code.
